Gas Leak Recovery

From Dubai’s free zone, Patagonia 360 FZCO transforms vented natural gas into electricity — reducing environmental impact while delivering economic returns. ISO 9001:2015-certified engineering.

Sustainable Energy Solutions

Located in a strategic free zone in Dubai, Patagonia 360 FZCO provides innovative gas leak recovery services, converting vented natural gas into electricity. Combining technical precision with sustainability, we offer certified engineering solutions (ISO 9001:2015) that reduce emissions while generating economic value.

Our history

We began operations in the Neuquén basin in 2011, specializing in the repair and maintenance of compression and pumping equipment for the oil and gas industry. Over time, we have perfected our engineering services, guaranteeing the highest quality under ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Why Vented Gas Matters?

Gas venting is the intentional or accidental release of unburned natural gas—often rich in methane—into the atmosphere, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions. In compressor operations, venting typically occurs during start-up, shutdown, or maintenance of compression systems.

Gas Conversion

Every year, more than 140 billion m³ of natural gas is vented and burned. Our service aims to reduce this impact. We transform vented gas into electricity, generating economic benefits.

Environmental impact

The reasons for venting focus on remote well exploration, delays in transportation capacity, oversupply of natural gas driving down prices, competition from more affordable gas sources, and challenges in shale exploitation and efficient wellhead integration.

Where does it happen?

Gas venting occurs mainly during exploration and production, especially in the evaluation of new wells. Without access to the distribution network, production has no outlet to the market. Upstream operators have three options: vent/fackle the excess gas, shut down production, or consume the associated gas to generate electricity.

Technology and Modularity

Patagonia 360 FZCO captures vented gas and repurposes it to generate electricity—an effective synergy of environmental responsibility and economic efficiency.

Market

The market buys 1 Gigajoule of gas between $1.00 and $7.00 USD, while our servers generate revenues of $8.00 to $200.00 USD/GJ.

Applications of our technology

Our approach focuses not only on efficiency, but also on environmental sustainability. By processing methane and converting it into CO2, we contribute significantly to reducing the greenhouse effect. In addition, our technology enables a significant reduction in carbon emissions.

We recognize the importance of conserving gas, and therefore encourage its use rather than simply venting it.

In situations of oversupply, our solution also excels at recovering displaced gas, ensuring optimal use of resources.
